MEPA Academy - Special Educational Needs

At MEPA Academy we believe that it is the right of every child to achieve their potential. We ensure that learning styles for all pupils are met, and that learning is supported and differentiated to ensure progress is made by all pupils.

Pupils are involved in all aspects of the curriculum which will be made accessible to them with an understanding that any pupil learns in different ways and at different rates.

Support is given to teachers to ensure they are equipped to provide quality learning through training, observations from the SENCo as well as advice from specialists.

Pupils who are identified with SEND are constantly involved in creating and developing their pupil passports which also include input from parents, teachers and SENCo. They will be set targets for the end of the year, or key stage that are realistic and achievable.

We offer an open-door policy so if you have any additional questions, concerns or queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
